ELDER MARSHA BLACKSTON
Elder Marsha Blackston is the Associate Pastor at Trinity Church of Harrisburg, formerly Monroe Street Church of God. It was there at the age of twelve when she accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. She grew in God’s miraculous garden, actively participating in Youth Fellowship, teaching Sunday School, ushering and singing on the choir.
Pursuing her hunger to teach the Word of God, she began studies in theology at Grace Bible Institute and School of Theology, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Peter S, Edwards. Licensed in 2005 by the Eastern Regional Conference, Churches of God. “Revyrev”, as she is affectionately called, has served as associate to Rev. Walter R. Dockens, Jr. for fourteen years.
Her life anchor is, Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in all things through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God and He will give you the peace to guard your heart and mind.”
Elder Marsha has been married to Mark Blackston for 50 years, this marriage produced two children and two grandchildren.
